Through years of experience, my techniques have evolved into a combination of many you may have experienced individually. This includes the use of Reiki during deep tissue message to help heal and loosen muscles and myofascial adhesions. Hot stones are also employed for short periods of time, unless longer use is requested, to enhance the therapeutic experience. I utilize light conversation during the massage to gather information to specifically tailor the ideal massage for each patient and educate the patient on what can be done to reduce pain. Working together, I can identify contributing factors to repetitive pain patterns, help you understand how to reduce future triggers, and enjoy longer lasting effects of massage therapy in the future.
Types of Massage
Deep Tissue Massage
This modality is designed to work on one or two areas a session. It begins with warming up the tissue and then working layer by layer. It is considered to aid in relief of very deep aches and pain and may also be beneficial for athletes requiring injured and overused muscles.
Swedish Massage
More of a relaxation based massage used to reduce anxiety and emotional stress. Although a lighter massage, it helps improve circulation with employed gliding strokes, muscle kneading, finger friction, vibration and percussive type movements. This massage is geard towards those wanting to leave feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese based energy healing technique that is administered by specific motion movements created from the concept of "life force energy" and how energy transfers and flows through individuals. By treating and focusing on the energy being moved within the body, it is said to eliminate negative forces that affect or energy and impact our bodies ability to adapt and move throughout the day.
